swim in the sea and breath the wild air

The Heart Of The World.

In the heart of the world there is a place that holds the secret names of the rocks and trees and all the children of the earth. Men and women gather around it. Each night they stand together to keep it safe for as long as it takes until morning comes.

Crickets In Stereo.

Take me out to those summer nights when I was just a little girl of five years old.
Lay down in the backyard and listen to crickets in stereo.

With a gentle wind and the whispering trees.
The man in the moon smiling down on you and me, and the fireflies all dancing to the sweetest serenades...

Let me take you back to those summer nights when we were just little ones at five years old. We'll lay out by the swingset in the backyard.
Listen to crickets in stereo.

I will take your hand through the shade of the trees as moonlight through the branches beams down on you and me. And the fireflies all dancing to the sweetest
serenades...

Beautiful World.

"My my my it’s a beautiful world
I like swimming in the sea
I like to go out beyond the white breakers
Where a man can still be free (or a woman if you are one)
I like swimming in the sea.

My my my it’s a beautiful world
I like drinking Irish tea
With a little bit of lapsang souchong
I like making my own tea.

My my my it’s a beautiful world
I like driving in my car
Roll the top down sometimes I travel quite far
Drive to the ocean stare up at the stars..."

Curiosity.

Who's to say
What's impossible
Well they forgot
This world keeps spinning
And with each new day
I can feel a change in everything
And as the surface breaks reflections fade
But in some ways they remain the same
And as my mind begins to spread its wings
There's no stopping curiosity

I want to turn the whole thing upside down
I'll find the things they say just can't be found
I'll share this love I find with everyone
We'll sing and dance to Mother Nature's songs
I don't want this feeling to go away

Who's to say
I can't do everything
Well I can try
And as I roll along I begin to find
Things aren't always just what they seem

I want to turn the whole thing upside down
I'll find the things they say just can't be found
I'll share this love I find with everyone
We'll sing and dance to Mother Nature's songs
This world keeps spinning and there's no time to waste
Well it all keeps spinning spinning round and round and

Upside down
Who's to say what's impossible and can't be found
I don't want this feeling to go away

Redefinition.

My abiding happiness is greeting each new day with anticipation. My hope, indeed my enduring goal, is to understand more today than I did yesterday.

I Live For The Summer.

The snow piles up cold and uninviting. It mimicks the work I have strewn around me. It's exam time again and I just want it to be summer.

i can’t forget the chill i got last December

so i put on my mitts, and dig my trench

hunker down ‘til the snow hits

the wind it whips

it splits our lips

it only grows here from may to october

way up north like this, there‘s no time for the ground to recover

i always dreamt that i’d live way south of the border

the months would come and go without any leaves changing colour

we could live like kids

we'd live for the summer

i live for the summer
